After that he went to the other side of the hill, past a little old cottage and under a bridge. While he was going across a field, everything suddenly went wrong!

Escreve-me.

Em amizade,

Lúcia.

Dear John,

Greetings from Barcelos! Thanks for your letter. I read it last week. I was happy when I got your letter. In November I went to Berlin. I visited the Charlottenburg palace and I walked in the gardens. I drank German beer and I ate currywurst and potato salad. I took some beautiful pictures.

I’ve been in Barcelos. I have worked in an office since September. I haven’t visited your mother but I’ve met your cousins. I have lived in a flat for six months but I haven’t slept there yet.

Write to me,

Your friend,

Lucy
